Our Story

We established out first barber shop in Colchester, Essex back in 2007, at the time Colchester Town needed to experience the next step in modern barbering, at the time there was only a small number of barbershops in Colchester. We pride ourselves in being one of the very first barbers for bringing modern barbering and hair styles to Colchester, ever since we have noticed men’s hair care and male grooming becoming more popular. We have successfully established 5 barbershops in Colchester and are very proud to say that we have helped many barbers gain the experience and confidence to become independent and now there are more than 10 barbershops in Colchester, many of these barbershop owners once worked for us.

We are also very proud to be one of the very few barbers in Colchester to have English NVQ levels 1, 2 & 3 in barbering, along with separate NVQ levels in hairdressing which we proudly display on the walls of our shop. On top of this we are also proud to have barbers trained in techniques from across the world with specialised techniques in threading, ear hair burning, even our technique with scissors, wet shaves and specialist beard designs. That is why we call ourselves The Master Barber (The barber’s barber).
